Angela Davis

Angela Davis, a Detroit native and accomplished singer, is also a dedicated Special Education teacher in the Wayne Westland Community Schools District. A winner of the 2015 WDIV/Channel 4 Super Singer competition, she has performed with national acts like The Temptations, Tyrese, and Angie Stone, and at prestigious events such as the Detroit Music Awards and America's Thanksgiving Parade. Angela has also performed in the 2018 All-Star Tribute to Aretha Franklin and released multiple projects, including the 2020 live EP Angela Davis Live: Up Close & Personal and the empowering single "Black Queens" with R&B group S.O.U.L. In 2022, she published a children's book with her mother, Angela's Awesome Adventures: New York City, and performed the National Anthem at all three of Detroit's major sports venues. Angela's 2023 project, Alexander Goss Presents Angela Davis Volume 1, showcases her R&B/Smooth Jazz style with tracks like "Night Breeze" and "We Can Getaway."
